Rules & Information

Considerations for Safety and Enjoyment by All

We very much wish for you to relax & enjoy your stay at
The Snowpines T-Bar.

Please review the following rules in order to avoid any difficulties or misunderstandings.

GENERAL RULES

  • This is a No Smoking chalet. Transgression of this rule will result  in a complete loss of your entire damage deposit for cleaning and fumigation.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Pets are allowed by pre-arrangement.  Strata rules allow for 1 dog only.  Excessive noise or damage will result in loss of your damage deposit and possible eviction. Be aware some degree of  pet dander will be present in the chalet.
  • The cleaning fee is based on the average price that we are charged for the expected amount of  reasonable cleaning. If the cleaning company invoices us for more than the amount you were  charged you will be billed the difference.
  • Please respect the parking rules listed in the client information book. Parking is limited in Big White and everyone needs to work together to ensure that every unit has their assigned parking  available to them.
  • No outdoor footwear to be worn in the chalet at any time.
  • No skis or boards etc are to be brought into the building. Please use the ski lockers provided.
  • Please obey the quiet periods from 11pm to 7am.  This is a family rental unit. Have fun, but noise after 11 pm is to be minimal. Noise complaints may result in a fine or eviction.
  • Please do not jump on the beds. Damage noted at your  departure will be charged against your deposit.
  • Please clean the BBQ after use.
  • Enjoy but use the hot tub correctly and safely. The tub maintenance company has unit access and will serve the spa twice each week. Please read the hot tub rules posted outside near the hot tub.
  • Please observe the check out time of 10:00 am of your departure.
  • Please call us if you have any issues/questions

  • Check out time is 10AM on the day of your departure.

  • Located in the washer/dryer cupboard are things like brooms, mops and spare light bulbs.
  • Should you notice that anything is missing please or that you have used and need  to be replaced, please email us at [email protected] or text us at 604 897 7573. This will be much appreciated by the next guest.

CLOSING UP / YOUR DEPARTURE

  • Please read the instructions at the end of this document and by the front door.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

The Snowpines T-Bar is a family recreational property and not a hotel. Should damages occur they need to be addressed just as you would any accidental damage in your friend or family’s home.

Damage deposits are collected upon booking. Accidents can occur and if they happen then it is the responsibility of the guests to pay the costs of such damage.  Should the costs exceed the damage deposit, arrangements will need  to be made to pay for the balance. These costs could include remote shipping and travel costs for tradespeople.

HEATING / FIREPLACE

  • The chalet has automatic temperature control, but all rooms have individual thermostats that you may adjust to your comfort.
  • The fireplace switch is adjacent to the patio door. To turn on  the fireplace, simply turn on the labeled switch and the fireplace turns on. The recirculating fan comes on automatically, however there is a single gang switch to the right side of the patio door to control it.
  • Please ensure you turn off the fireplace before retiring or are absent from the unit.
  • The baseboard heat will come on when you unlock the front door, but the radiant floor heaters need to be turned on manually.  There are 4 of them.  They are lightswitch sized panels in each bathroom, near the kitchen, and near the front door.  Open them up and switch them to AUTO.  They take a while to come up to temperature, so leave them on throughout your stay. If it’s cold when you get in, turn on the fireplace, it works quickly!

FIRE / EMERGENCY

  • The building has an automatic sprinkler system and smoke alarms. There is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen on the end cupboard near  the  dishwasher.  Another is next to the laundry room door.
  • The emergency number is listed under the telephone contacts section in this  folder. If in doubt, get out and warn the other people in the building.
  • There is an Emergency Services icon on the main screen of the Telus Security Panel that will summon Fire, Police or Ambulance Services if pressed.

HOT TUB

  • Please be considerate of the Quiet Time Hours after 11pm.
  1. The hot tub is there for your enjoyment. Please read the rules before using it, these are located in this folder and on the deck.
  • It is maintained 2x weekly and set at 102F, please do not adjust. Mountainside Pool & Spa has access to the unit for maintenance.
  • We do not mind if you wish to imbibe whilst relaxing in the tub. However you do  so at your own risk and absolutely no glassware is allowed in the hot tub area. Please use the provided plastic cups and “glasses”.
  • If you indulge please be thoughtful and respectful of our environment by disposing of your bottles/cans properly and not throwing them into the snow.
  • The No Smoking rule is in effect on the patio. Do not smoke outside and  throw butts on the ground. If cigarette butts are found on the deck or  around the building your damage deposit will not be refunded.
  • Do not eat in the hot tub.
  • More than 4 people will cause the hot tub to overflow and the water level to go below the skimmer. The pump and filter will be damaged if the water drops too low, requiring an emergency service call. The cost will be passed along to the guests.
  • Please ensure you close the hot tub cover after use.
  • Abuse of the rules will result in you being invoiced for the charges from the hot tub maintenance company.

INTERNAL HALLWAYS

Please restrict your activity within the building hallways to the West Entrance and West Side Stairwell to access Unit #1. The other hallways and other stairwells are not for play or community access.

KEYS

There are keys for the hot tub cover as well as the BBQ & propane tanks on the lanyard hanging from the cabinet beside the patio door. If you have young children the cover should always be locked when there isn’t an adult present.  Please lock up the equipment whenever you leave.

KITCHEN

  • In the kitchen you will find all the equipment you need to produce everything from a gourmet meal to a quick snack. It is fully equipped. Please take a moment to  locate the various items you may require. A full inventory is taken upon departures.
  • A full size dishwasher is installed and dishwasher detergent is under the sink  cupboard. Please scrape your dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Water is  limited on the mountain, so please wash a full load only.
  • Kitchen trash bags and recycling bags are under the sink.
